PM Kisan Yojana: In August, the government will provide an installment of Rs 2,000 crore, benefiting more than 9.5 crore farmers

Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sanman Nidhi Yojana, farmers will get an installment of Rs 2,000 in August.  The installment will be transferred to the bank accounts of more than 95 million farmers.  This will be the sixth installment to be given to farmers under Kisan Sanman Nidhi Yojana.  Under the scheme, all small and marginal farmers are entitled to a minimum income of Rs 6,000 per annum in the form of assistance.  Farmers will get this amount in three installments of Rs 2,000.

 Speaking to a private news channel, Vivek Agarwal, CEO of PM Kisan Samman Yojana, said.  He said the sixth installment of the scheme would be paid in August.  So far, documents of 9.54 crore farmers have been checked under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sanman Nidhi Yojana.

Overbridge wall collapses near Aji Dam in Rajkot, 2 killed
