If the LPG cylinder runs out prematurely, make a complaint here, the agency's license may be revoked.

Complaints of low gas in LPG cylinders are frequent. However, no action is taken against the LPG agency administrator or the delivery man even if he complains about the matter. But no need to worry anymore. You will now be able to complain to the Consumer Forum if the gas cylinder runs out prematurely. The Central Government has made it clear in the Consumer Protection Act 2019 that if any gas distributor does not avail the rights of consumers, he will be severely punished.

The decision will be taken in a month

Under the new law you can now lodge a complaint directly in the Consumer Forum if no action is taken even after the LPG cylinder has expired. Your complaint will be processed within a month.

LPG agency license may be revoked

Now that the Consumer Protection Act 2019 has come into force, if a consumer gets less LPG, the LPG distributor will be prosecuted and his license may be revoked.

Consumers do not check weight

Most consumers do not check the weight of the LPG cylinder when it is delivered. The person delivering the LPG does not carry a weighing machine with him while supplying. The weight is measured by removing the machine only if a consumer forces the cylinder to weigh.

In this way, LPG cylinders reach the homes of thousands of consumers every day without being weighed and without any rock-talk. But under the new law, such reductions will be curtailed.
