One would have thought that a sheep could be worth millions of rupees. But one sheep was sold at auction for 450,000 guineas (૩ 2,3,600, or 4,50,81). It is valued at around Rs 3 crore in Indian currency.

Presumably, this is the most expensive sheep ever. Memon of the Texal breed has sold double diamonds to three farmers at the Scottish National Texel Sale in Lanark. The meme was sold by Charlie Bowden and the family in Cheshire with their own sportsmen herd. The previous record was in 2007, when a sheep was sold at about 5 per cent less than a lamb.
