Big News: No normal train will run till June 30, Railways canceled all tickets

A big decision has been taken by Indian Railways.  Railway Tickets have been canceled by the Railways till June 30.  This means that no regular train will run till June 30.  No new reservations are currently being made.  According to the railways, at present only Shramik Train and Special Train will run.

According to the report, Indian Railways has said that those whose tickets have been canceled will get a refund from the IRCTC very soon.

In fact, train services in the country have been closed since March 22 due to the lockdown.  Meanwhile, tickets were being booked at IRCTC till April 14.  Even before March 22, millions of people bought tickets online and from ticket counters.  However, after the announcement of the lockdown, the trains were stopped and people's money was stuck.  Now all these tickets have been canceled and the rupee will be refunded.

Earlier on Wednesday evening, Indian Railways announced that a limited waiting list for special trains would start on May 22.  Railways will announce in the next few days which trains will get this facility.  Passengers will get this facility on booking tickets from May 15.

However, the number of waiting lists is fixed.  There is a limit of 100 tickets for AC 3 tires, 50 for AC 2 tires, 200 for sleeper class, 100 for Cherkar and 20-20 tickets for first class and executive class.  The purpose behind the railways doing this is to reduce the blow of confirmed tickets.
