Ahmedabad An important meeting was held today on the issue of Lord Jagannath's Rathyatra.

Important discussions are going on in the city regarding the rathyatra of the day of unripe seeds.  An important piece of news is being received today as there is a lot of debate going on about Lord Jagannath's Rathyatra which will start on 23rd June.  A meeting of trusts and sailors was held on the occasion of the Rathyatra, which was preceded by the Eclipse of Corona.  The meeting was attended by leaders of the Chariot, Truck and Arena Association.  Now again the final decision will be taken after May 31st.  A meeting on rath yatra will be held again on May 31.  But in today's meeting important decisions have been made regarding the voyage.

An important decision has been taken in the meeting held with Rath Association, Truck Association, sailors of the arena at the temple today.  The voyage will be held on 5th June.  In which no devotee can join.  In this ceremony, Jayeshtha will be anointed in the presence of 5 to 7 people of the temple.  Only 1 Gajraj will join this voyage.  Apart from that, devotees, bhajan congregations will perform this yatra without horses.  On this day Lord Jagannath's Gajvesh Darshan will be performed but no host will be invited to the temple.  The ceremony will be attended by the temple's mahant Dilip Dasji and trustee Mahendra Jha.  In this yatra, even 108 kalash from bullock carts will not be taken along the Sabarmati river.  Filling only 1 kalash with water, 108 kalash will be placed there.  Importantly, the rath yatra will be discussed after May 31.

In today's meeting, it has been decided to anoint only 5 to 7 people in the voyage.  Only one gajraj will join the voyage.  This year due to Corona the Rathyatra will be held before the Jalayatra devotees, Bhajan Mandali, without horses.  At present, all the preparations have been started for the voyage which was held before the Rathyatra.  Sanitation work is underway in the 3 chariots of God and the temple.  Sanitizing operations are being carried out as part of precaution.  Not only that, the area around the temple has also been sanitized.  Currently Jamalpur area is included in the red zone.  Devotees will not be able to join the water voyage held earlier this year.  That means they will not get admission.

The Rathyatra, which takes place in Ahmedabad every year, is a great opportunity for millions of devotees and monks to join the water voyage.  The temple trust has made a big decision because of the global epidemic Corona.  According to the decision taken by the temple trust in the Corona epidemic, only Gadipati as well as the people of the trust will join the voyage.  Only trustees and Gadipati will worship near Bhudar.

Not only that, the date of the voyage has been fixed.  The cruise will be held on June 5 in Ahmedabad.  Devotees will not be able to join the voyage on June 5, so the decision not to allow devotees to enter the world voyage has become a source of grief to them.  Let me tell you, every year 2 to 3 thousand devotees as well as monks join the voyage in Ahmedabad.  But this year the temple has made the biggest decision in view of the Corona epidemic.  Only the Gadipati of the temple as well as the people of the temple trust will be present in the voyage.  Only the temple trust and Gadipati will perform Ganga Pujan near Somnath Bhudar in Sabarmati.

In the case of Lord Jagannath's rath yatra, which starts on June 23, the temple trustee said that a decision on the rath yatra would be taken after a meeting with the government after the lockdown opened on May 17.  Rathyatra will be organized as per the guideline of the government.  The decision will be taken only after a meeting with the government on how many people will be involved in the water voyage and how to organize it before the rathyatra.
