The Modi government's readiness to run trains in the country from this date will be such a guideline


On Sunday, Indian Railways said it was working on a plan to gradually start passenger train services from May 12, initially with 15 trains.  Many trains will run from New Delhi and bookings for reservations will start from 4 pm on May 11 and will be available only on the IRCTC website, Railways said.  He said ticket booking counters at the stations would be closed and no counter tickets, including platform tickets, would be announced.  It will be mandatory to wear a mask during the trip and will have to undergo screening at the time of departure.  Only odd passengers will be allowed on the train.

Preparations are underway to run special trains for Delhi, Mumbai, Ranchi and Patna.  Railway Minister Piyush Goyal tweeted about this.  Under this scheme, the train will run from Delhi to 15 cities.  There are also plans to run a train from Delhi to Bengaluru from May 12.  Piyush Goyal wrote in a tweet that the railways is thinking of running passenger trains from time to time.  It could start on May 12.    These trains will start from New Delhi and go to various stations across the country.  Special train bookings will begin Monday, May 11 at 4 p.m.

So far 350 labor trains have run

 An official of the Indian Railways said that the railways have run 350 labor trains since May 1.  More than 3.6 lakh migrant workers have been repatriated across the country due to lockdowns caused by the Corona virus.  He said 263 trains have reached their destination while 87 trains are yet to reach.

Only 54 people allowed to sit

 Apart from this 46 trains are to be operated.  Each labor train has 24 coaches.  Each coach has 72 seats although only 54 people are allowed to sit in one coach to maintain social distance.  The middle berth was also not allocated.  The railways have not yet announced the cost of running the special train.

 Will be shared with the state in the ratio of 85:15

 According to the official, the cost of operating a train is Rs 80 lakh.  Earlier, the government had said that the cost of the service would be shared with the state in the ratio of 85:15.  Kerala has been the second most used labor train since Gujarat.  While most of the migrant laborers are from Bihar, Uttar Pradesh.
